About PAFA
Pakistan Australia Friendship
Association Canberra Inc.(PAFA) is a non-political and
non-profitable voluntary organization. The aim of the
association is to promote cultural ties between Pakistan and
Australia, and harbour friendly relations between all
Australians. PAFA provides a forum to promote cultural and
educational values for Pakistani-Australian living in the
Canberra and surrounding region.
OBJECTIVES OF PAFA
To develop social, cultural and
other related activities amongst its members with a view to
promoting a better understanding between Australians and
Pakistanis.
To receive and render all possible
help to Pakistan nationals who may be residing, visiting or
migrating to the Australian Capital Territory (ACT)
To foster
goodwill and friendship between Australians and Pakistanis
We also arrange and actively participate in cultural shows and
festivals held in the ACT region. This allows us to introduce
and demonstrate our cultural heritage to our children and
members of our community.
We regularly publish a quarterly PAFA Newsletter.
